| Abstract/Contents: | Presents studies comparing three wetting agents: Revolution, Tournament Ready, and APSA-80. Details methods and materials used during the experiments, noting that "the study was conducted on a L-93 USGA [United States Golf Association] specification sand putting green." Provides results with regards to turfgrass color and quality, as well as soil moisture and hydrophobicity, reporting that "like color and quality, soil moisture was not statistically different among the treatments. This indicates that for this particular root zone, the wetting agents did not increase or decrease the moisture holding capacity compared to the non-treated control." Concludes that, because of its performance in the water drop penetration test, APSA-80 "[might not be] effective for preventing localized dry spot under drought stress conditions in the field, while Tournament Ready and Revolution would." |
