| Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted to evualuate perennial ryegrass cultivars for germination under saline conditions. Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "eight cultivars or selections...of perennial ryegrass were evaluated under seven salinity treatments." Continues that "visual ratings of seedling emergence and percent green were reported as a percentage of the control to eliminate genetic differences and seedlot effects on germination." Reports that "at the present time, only three weeks of data have been collected and further data collection is currently underway. Preliminary results indicated that there was a significant difference between treatments (across all cultivars) and between cultivars (across all treatments) for percent green and seedling emergence." |
