| Abstract/Contents: | Briefly discusses a study conducted to develop "a culture independent TaqMan real-time PCR [polymerase chain reaction] assay" for the identification of the Magnaporthe poae pathogen. Suggests that use of the assay could reduce pesticide use in the control of summer patch, and mentions that the assay validated "a number of other microorganisms that inhabit the same host and soil." |
