Abstract/Contents:Discusses the potential for kikuyugrass to be "'one of the most noxious weeds and a grave threat to crop production.'" Includes the viewpoint of Dr. James B Beard, continuing that "'it is unwise for a turfgrass manager to introduce this particular warm-season perennial grass species into portions of North America where it does not now exist.'" Provides a brief history of the turf-type, mentioning that it may have excellent heat tolerance.
