Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "varieties were selected from the 2000 National Turfgrass Evaluation Program (NTEP) Kentucky bluegrass test...Significant wear injury was applied to test plots with the slip-wear machine to allow researchers to identify wear tolerant and intolerant Kentucky bluegrass varieties." Reports that "wear tolerant Kentucky bluegrass...were associated with a more vertical leaf angle from horizontal, greater total cell wall content, lower shoot moisture content, and lower leaf turgidity." |
