Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst to "(1) compare the wear tolerance of perennial ryegrass, tall fescue, and Kentucky bluegrass cultivars representing the most wear tolerant entries of each species from recently terminated NTEP [National Turfgrass Evaluation Program] test, and (2) identify plant characteristics and associated mechanisms important in these species and cultivars." States that "the wear study will be evaluated over the next 3 growing seasons (until 2010) under cultural conditions as noted below." |
