Abstract/Contents: | Test on 8 herbicide treatments on an established mixed stand of Kentucky bluegrass, Red fescue, and perennial ryegrass for post emergence control of Crabgrass. Treatments were applied in a randomized complete block design with 3 Reps on 8/9/89 and were rated on 8/15, 8/25, and 9/8/89. Inintial control on 8/15 ranged from 10% (MON 15104 at 0.75lb/A) to 32% (HOE 46360 at 0.09 and 0.125lb/A; Daconate 6 at 2.5lb/A). On 8/25 and 9/8 all four HOE 46360 at 0.125 and 0.18lb/A caused significant stand injury and were deemed noticeable on the border of unacceptibility levels. By 9/8, the injury had dropped to within acceptable levels. Noted that Daconate, an organoarsenic commonly known as MSMA requires 2-3 applications for effective control while in this trial it was applied once. |
