| Abstract/Contents: | Summarizes findings of National Turfgrass Evaluation Program (NTEP) creeping bentgrass trials initiated in 1997 and 2003, as well as preliminary findings of a trial initiated in 2008. Details the methods used in the trials, as well as the rating scales used for quality evaluations. States that after 2002, the golf green used for the 1997 trials "was used to study Poa annua invasion and bentgrass segregation." Reports on the trials in progress, stating that the top performers are experimental types. Concludes that "using the results from these trials can guide you in selecting creeping bentgrasses for future plantings." |
