Abstract/Contents: | Two separate studies conducted at Yahara Hills Golf Course. The first stay compared Aliette with Subdue 2E for control of Yellow tuft in a bentgrass nursery. Subdue 2E at 2 fl oz and Alliette 80W at 8 oz applied on 6/21, 7/5, 7/26, and 8/16. However, disease disappeared in early summer and did not reappear. Also studied Fairy ring (Marasmium oreades) control in a Red fescue rough using Flutolanil 50W (ProStar [SN 8444364]) with a wetting agent alone or in combination with aerification. Treatments did not control Fairy ring. Noted the rates applied (1 gram product per 3 foot area/18 inches wide) seemed infinately below what might be needed for this type of treatment. The amount of H2O was similarly too low to obtain the kind of vertical distribution the soil required. |
