| Abstract/Contents: | "Field experiments were conducted on commercial sod farms to evaluate metolachlor, napropamide, prodiamine, pendimethalin, atrazine, simazine, and diclofop for bearded sprangletop (Leptochloa fascicularis) control and growth effects on freshly ribbon-cut harvested St. Augustine grass (Stenotaphrum secundatum). Generally, none of the herbicides tested were excessively injurious to St. Augustine. Metolachlor, napropamide, and pendimethalin provided good control of sprangletop without reduction of runner development." |
