Abstract/Contents:" Fungicide treatments were evaluated on a predominately Poa annua golf green at Duluth, Minnesota where gray snow mold occurs naturally during most winters. Treatments were applied 1 November 1988 to 4 ft x 12 ft plots in a randomized complete block design with 4 powered sprayer equipped with two 8004 nozzles. The granule was applied with a drop spreader. Snow cover was from 11/15 to 4/19 and a record 110 inches was recorded for the season. Fungicide efficacy was evaluated twice, 4/21 and 5/19 using percent area with mycelium and damaged turf readings. Pink snow mold was found only in Teremec SP, Rubigan and the experimental Ciba Geigy 169374 product plots on the 2nd rating date. Several products controlled gray snow mold but 100% control was achieved only with the tank mix of three products: Caloclor, Teremec SP and PCNB. Good results with Daconil 2787 are in contrast with other years with poor results."
