Abstract/Contents: | Briefly describes the need for improvement in seed production of seed propagated warm season turfgrasses such as bermudagrass. States that although breeding for other quality traits is important, it is critical to develop new bermudagrass varieties which have good yields of high quality seed. Good seed production is attractive to the producer and keeps prices competitive relative to vegetatively propagated varieties. |
