Abstract/Contents:"Article provides specific recommendations for reducing golf course costs by using "natural golf courses." A natural course can briefly be defined as one having adequate tees, only essential fairway landing areas, and ideal greens. The remainder of the course is maintained at a minimum of expense. With the exception of the principal playing areas, the course has a natural or undisturbed appearance and feeling. Scottish links have been kept in this manner for hundreds of years, yet few clubs here have followed this proven, thrifty approach."
