Abstract/Contents:Summarizes research presented at the 2010 University of Connecticut Field Day, conducted "to establish a bentgrass [Agrostis] fairway trial to assess the natural development of dollar spot on individual cultivars during the season." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "thirty-three bentgrass species including cultivars of colonial (A. capillaris), velvet (A. canina) and creeping [A. stolonifera] were planted...[With] the site mowed to a height of 0.5 inches approximately 3 times per week." Concludes that "seeding was completed in early June and plots visible at field day represent bentgrass growth 6 weeks after spring seeding. Results of this study will be available between 2009 and 2010."
