| Abstract/Contents: | Overviews a study conducted to evaluate the efficacy of June and July applications of AllectusTM, AcelprynTM, and MeridianTM insecticides in controlling oriental beetle and European chafer larvae. Recommends the use of neonicotinoid and combination neonicotinoid and pyrethroid insecticides, advising that "the combination products should not be applied in southern New England before mid May at the earliest." Adds that "this report describes another field trial we conducted in 2007 to determine the effectiveness of June or July applications of AllectusTM, MeridianTM, MeritTM, or AceleprynTM" at Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst, Massachusetts. Notes that "all treatments reduced OB [oriental beetle] populations significantly relative yo the untreated check." Includes a table summarizing collected field trial data. |
