Abstract/Contents: | Focuses on phosphorus "facts, myths, and legends." Provides general information on the nutrient, and addresses two myths: "Phosphorus application encourages Poa annua," and "phosphorus testing is all the same." Explains that "to obtain soluble phosphorus, rock phosphates which are mined from the earth are acidified with either phosphoric acid or anhydrous ammonia." Concludes that, if soil testing is conducted properly, money invested in managing phosphorus levels "will go a long way." |
