Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst "to examine the field efficacy of different DMI [demethylation inhibiting] fungicide formulations, application intervals, and application rates on an insensitive population of dollar spot." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "plots were evaluated by counting individual infection centers once a week and the area under disease progress curve values were calculated for each fungicide treatment to evaluate season-long dollar spot control." Reports that "fungicide formulation, application interval, an [and] application rate did not significantly affect propiconazole sensitivity among experimental plots." Concludes that "this experiment will be carried out for two more years an [and] additional sites will be included for the 2009 and 2010 years."
