Abstract/Contents: | 1982 report of test established 9/81 to evaluate seven seeding rates of Rebel tall fescue (1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 20 pounds of seed per 1000 sq. ft.). 4 replications are maintained at 1.5 inches and receive 3 pounds N/1000 sq. ft./YR. A table provides visual qualtiy ratings (1 to 9;9=best) made on 8/12/82, visual estimates of % ground cover (1982 monthly rating were taken April through August and October) and tillers/sq. in. made from 4,4 inch diameter plugs in 10/82. Overall performance was best and varied little at rates of 6 pounds/1000 sq. ft. or higher. |
