Abstract/Contents: | In 1986, Dixie proposed to the college that a golf course be constructed. A trial period was set for the using of the grounds. But the layout was made up of common couches, rye and couch mixes. Some of the problems were undesirable grass on the greens, inadequate water supply, realistic hazards, level plains, and fairways crossed over each other. Trial period was successful. A new golf course is ready to be built, using Tifway as the greens. The course will be ready for the school start in February 1989. |
