| Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted at the University of California, Riverside "to evaluate the efficacy of new and currently available fungicides for the mid-season control of anthracnose and summer patch on annual bluegrass." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "symptoms of anthracnose began appearing approximately Jun [June] 10, and experimental fungicide applications were initiated on 15 Jun." Reports that Insignia, Banner MAXX, Heritage 50WG, Medallion plus Daconil Ultrex, Headway, Medallion, and Signature plus Daconil Ultrex provided the best control. Notes that "tank mixes of fungicides (Daconil/Banner MAXX plus Heritage/Medallion) or pre-mixed fungicides (Headway) performed well, although often not any better than their individual components alone." |
