Abstract/Contents: | Those who construct and maintain sports and amenity facilities are constantly looking for turf varieties that will make their jobs easier. For the seed breeder who can come up with such a variety the dividends can be high--but it takes considerable skill and investment. Such research comes with no guarantee of success and, at the end of ten or fifteen years, one's effort may have produced nothing. |
