Abstract/Contents: | William H. Bengeyfield is ready for a busy retirement after 35 years with the USGA, most recently as its top agronomist. He is a man with strong opinions, and has been known to grow uptight in the presence of turfgrass practices or ideas he considers harmful or unprofessional. He was the elder statesman among USGA staff personnel. His affiliation spanned four decades. Now, at 67 years of age, he plans to keep busy doing consulting work abroad. Bengeyfield expects to find additional domestic and foreign assignments. |
