Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the record drought damaging Southern Florida golf courses in 2007. Explains that, over the summer, water restrictions were tightened and then heightened again. Reports that the year and a half drought was considered the worst in southern Florida since 1938 and that rainfall totals are 58 percent behind historical averages. Notes that almost 400 golf courses in southern Florida were under Phase II or Phase III water restrictions. |
