Abstract/Contents:Orlando's mission is to provide a safe, clean, desirable area, maintained at required standards, for the public to enjoy. Setting goals with specifics for reaching them makes for good operations. To be successful you should use the following: 1. Make your crew schedules and goals specific. 2. Purchase the right equipment. Always field test it and require the salesman to give a brief training session to your staff about that piece of equipment. 3. String trimmers must be used with herbicides. 4. Chemical controls must be used intelligently. 5. Tree trimming serves many purposes.
