| Abstract/Contents: | Examines fungicide control of dollar spot, suggesting that "one newer class of fungicides known as the succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors, or SDHIs, has proven to provide effective and long-lasting control." Briefly details ongoing research on the mode of action of SDHI fungicides such as boscalid, and discusses the potential problem of developed fungicide resistance. Explains that "the goal is to determine the possible mechanisms of boscalid resistance in S. homoeocarpa [Sclerotinia homoeocarpa] before it occurs in the field." Requests the submission of dollar spot isolates with previous boscalid application for study. |
