| Abstract/Contents: | Describes project to build a floating island green as part of a golf course. The green is shaped like a giant kidney bean. Overall it covers about 15,000 square feet with 7,000 of these as putting surface. The foundation of the green is a collection of hollow concrete cells. Prefabricated steel sections will be faced with wood and create the final curves of the structure. The course will be located on and adjacent to Lake Coeur d'Alene, in Idaho. |
