| Abstract/Contents: | Common problems with sports turf and facilities are overuse and abuse, lack of personnel and minimal down time to rest fields or to schedule intense repairs and maintenance, heighten the need for regular maintenance to slow the deterioration rate of facilities. It is critically important to establish standards for facilities, establish regular programs for inspection, schedule seasonal maintenance tasks, schedule daily maintenance tasks, use available equipment efficiently, maximize personnel resources, schedule facility use and provide one person as laison to the other user groups. |
