Abstract/Contents: | Briefly provides information regarding the 2013 Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Narrowbanding Mandate. States that "the FCC has mandated that all licensees using wideband 25 kHz [kilohertz] channel bandwidths convert to narrowband 12.5 kHz channel bandwidths by January 1, 2013." Discusses the implications for golf courses, and states that some radios are dual bandwidth capable. Concludes that "organizations need to start planning now to migrate to narrowband systems." |
