Abstract/Contents:"Reports are given regarding trials with a number of chemicals on various approaches to the problem of annual meadow-grass control for fine turf, i.e. pre-seeding seed bed treatment (including soil sterilisation), preventive treatment applied to pure fine turf swards and selective control in contaminated established swards. The results do not suggest that good practical solutions are almost to hand but some avenues are not without promise and attention is drawn to the established value of methyl bromide for getting a completely clean seed bed."
