| Abstract/Contents: | 1988 update of test to evaluate 8 bermudagrass cultivars (Common, NK 78098, London (Sel.), U-3, Midiron, RS-1 (Quicksand), Vamont, and Guymon) established in various years from 1976 to 1984 at a Kentucky location. A table provides establishment date, % greenups on 4/25, visual quality rating (1 to 9; 9=best quality) on 5/27, and texture. Common had the worst performance with coarse texture, 0% greenup, and quality rating of 1. Vamont and RS-1 (Quicksand) had best performance with medium texture, 30 and 35% greenup, respectively, and visual quality ratings of 8. Spring dead spot was not a serious problem in 1988. |
