Abstract/Contents:"Growth chamber experiments were conducted to determine the importance of temperature, leaf wetness and inoculum concentration on anthracnose development of annual bluegrass (Poa annua L. Timm.). Except where 100% infection had been previously achieved, all three factors significantly affected disease development. Increasing the inoculum concentration from 10(3) to 10(6) conidia/ml increased the percentage of infected plants at all leaf wetness-temperature treatments. Increasing the temperature from 20 C to 30 C increased the percentage of infected plants at all wetting periods. Increasing hours of leaf wetness from 12 to 72 hours increased the percentage of infected plants at all temperatures."
