Abstract/Contents:Pests have become serious problems to turf managers. Many pests have developed resistance to the insecticides we now use. There are biological controls for the insects also which include the use of parasites, milky spore disease and the use of turfgrass varieties with resistance to specific insects. Discussed are several of the more troublesome insect pests of turfgrass and control measures for them. White grubs, which includes the Japanese Beetle, Masked Chafers and June Beetles, Chinch bugs, and Sod Webworms, Cutworms and Armyworms are the pests discussed.
