Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted by the University of Georgia to "determine if entomopathogenic nematodes [EPN] could be applied to turf to reduce annual bluegrass weevil (ABW)." Details the methods and materials in the study, stating that "five EPN commercial strains...and two native strains...were tested in laboratory trials." Reports that "ABW larvae are are very susceptible to several commercially available EPNs...curative control of ABW with EPNs may be feasible." Concludes that "future studies will investigate the role that pest density and application timing have on control levels to reduce the variability in control."
