Abstract/Contents:Presents a summary for the development of Bolton, a perennial ryegrass cultivar. Details the conditions, trial design, and measurements used stating that "single seedlings were raised in a glasshouse and transplanted into the field as spaced plants after a period of hardening off." Reports that " 'Bolton was selected from within a spaced plant nursery based on an ecotype collection made in 1992 from the perennial ryegrass Victorian ecotype.'" Concludes that " 'Bolton' differs from Victorian ecotype in being uniform and stable earlier than Victorian ecotype which has a variable flowering time."
