Abstract/Contents:Stresses the potential importance of aerification on golf courses. Explains the potential danger to turfgrass as thatch accumulates. Mentions that "to alleviate thatch buildup, superintendents aerate using spikes or tines to remove thatch and allow for improved aerification." Suggests that the volume and quality of the root is "vital" to turf health. Recommends the pyraclostrobin- based fungicides, mentioning that they provide "additional physiological plant health benefits that extend beyond disease control." States that superintendents who use these pyraclostrobin- based fungicides thicken turfgrass roots and speed up turf recovery.
