Abstract/Contents:"Established in September 1980, this study includes Rebel Tall Fescue, Kenhy Tall Fescue and Derby Perennial Ryegrass. In a split plot experimental design, these grasses are maintained at four nitrogen rates, two mowing heights and two irrigation levels. Since the previous sod had a high organic nitrogen level, the nitrogen treatments were seldom noticeable in 1981. Irrigation did improve the turf quality: quality was superior at the 1 1/2 inch height for the Rebel and Derby and superior at the 3 inch height for the Kenhy."
