| Abstract/Contents: | "In the context of turfgrass merit assessment and use, the sub-division of F. rubra is briefly discussed and a suggestion made for common names conforming to the tripartite division recognized in the Netherlands - Chewings fescue, slender creeping red fescue and strong creeping red fescue. A provisional grouping of 80 cultivars is made, based on data on rhizome formation, chromosome number and heading date from various sources: this facilitates the presentation of trial data." |
