Abstract/Contents:"Manukau Parks has a partenering role with clubs and associations in providing grounds for competition use, and in ideal conditions draws adn competition rounds can get away pretty comfortably across the city, in times of wet weather or saturated ground conditions this may not be able to be achieved and restrictions or cancellations will be required. We have two sports park rangers who manage the fields across the city and control the competition hours available on weekends for comeptition and alos manage clubs mid week use of the fields for training. Our process is that the associations have to provide recommended draws by 3 pm on Wednesday every week. The parks booking officer has to have all of the four associations draws, clubs training hours and any social bookings entered by 1pm Thursday, in which time contracotrs can print draws out for field preparation and weekend set ups. Our Sports Park rangers at 1 pm every Friday will fax to the four main associations the fieldds available hours based on fields conditions, weather forecast, and clubs damage through trainings. From their the associations will manage their draws and comeptitions around the hours available, all request via our callcentre about grounds closures are referred back to their associations, clubs or websites. The associations will often contact us to ask for a shuffling of hours or slight altering in order to get a cetain competition or grad underway, but all these negotiations hae to be made directly after recommended hours of use has been received. Monday morning parks booking officer has to adjust actaul hours played by the hours booked."
