| Abstract/Contents: | "Papatoetoe Sportsville is an exciting projet for Manukau Parks and Papatoetoe Community. It will provide a central hib for sports in the community and a more sustainable management for buildings and club operations. Bringing multiple established clubs and users together under one building and ground will be in itself a major accomplishment, and provide less building clutter on parks and better managed and maintained building with permanent employees. A trust has been formed and is leading the way with user demands, cooperation, building and park designs, along with funding. First stages of the developments have started with the rugby No.2 and cricket pitches being done in mid-summer/early-autumn. This will lead into Stage 2 developments of tennis courts, hockey fields, and pitch relocations along with building works beginning in the spring and summer months." |
