| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the Rutger University Turf Club's experience at the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) Conference and Exhibition in 2012. Notes that a team of four students was sent to represent Rutger University in the Student Challenge. Mentions the many activities and presentations that the team participated in, including a presentation called "The 'Real' Story of Being an NFL Sports Field Manager" and "What it Takes to be an MLB Field Maintenance Manager." States that "the trade shows allowed for students to see companies and meet people from those companies that fuel the sports turf industry." Concludes that "the Turf Club is eager to get back to STMA in 2013 and compete again for Rutgers." |
