Abstract/Contents: | "This area was planted on 6/28/79 to a 1:1 blend of Penncross and Emerald creeping bentgrass. The seeding rate was 1 lb. per 1000 sq. ft., and a 16-20-0 starter fertilizer at 6lbs/1000 sq. ft. was applied prior to seeding. The influence of the soil amendment on turf quality and soil conditions will be monitored. The heavy clay soils of Colorado are very difficult to manage, and hopefully this test will provide some useful information on soil improvement techniques." |
