Abstract/Contents:States that "many regions in the United States have been subjected to dramatic weather extremes in the past growing seasons," and suggests methods for dealing with extreme weather conditions. Suggests that "the goal should be to keep the grass alive, not necessarily to provide peak playing conditions." Provides further recommendations and concludes that "well-informed golfers are not only more likely to understand why course conditions are less than ideal; they also are much more likely to contribute to the care of the course through proper etiquette."
