Abstract/Contents: | "It floats. It moves. It takes a ferry to get there. It's the 14th hole at Coeur d'Alene." The green can be anywhere between 75 and 175 yards out and is relayed to golfer on a digital screen. Resort owner Duane Hagadone got this idea three years ago when observing a circular cluster of logs floating in the lake near a sawmill. The green can be moved only forward and back and a one-inch cable and a couple of electric winches hidden in the substructure position it at the chosen distance. |
