Abstract/Contents: | Presents an article which highlights "some of the warm and cool season turfgrass species and cultivars available for sports turf management, the cultivation practices necessary to sustain these grasses at a competitive level, and finally proper pest monitoring, detection and control methods." Describes how various mowing heights may stunt the encroachment of invasive plants while increasing "turfgrass tolerance to stresses such as drought, insects and pathogens." Provides recommendations for fertilization, irrigation, cultivation, and weed, disease, and insect management for both cool and warm season grasses. |
