Abstract/Contents: | "A few years ago St. Johnstone Football Club made the bold move of selling their existing ground and moving to a new, out-of-town location. This gave them the chance to have a purpose-built facility which takes account of playing requirements and crowd safety. John Souter of agronomists and design consultants Grass Technology International, who helped design the Club's new McDiarmaid Park ground, casts his mind back and reflects on the making of the new stadium -- and some of the problems that had to be overcome." |
