Abstract/Contents:Suggests that weeds that affect putting greens differ from each other is a number of ways, including leaf, stem, and root structure, and while there are many weeds, one general purpose herbicide may be used. Includes instructions for mixing sulphate of ammonia and calcined ferrous sulphate, dusting this mixture over the weeds while still dewy and allowing the dust to burn the leaves, then finally washing it away before it causes bald spots. Advises that if rain falls after dusting and before the "kill," a reapplication will need to be made.
