| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the high expectations of golf courses despite the stress weather puts on the course, which in turn puts pressure on the superintendent to "satisfy immediate expectations when the goal should be to keep the grass as healthy as possible during stressful conditions." Suggests on how to limit some "self-inflicted injury" by reading the label, maintaining flexibility, having "agronomic intuition", and the mutual understanding between golfers and superintendents. Adds that making cautious decisions when the weather is unpredictable is necessary to avoid self-inflicted damage. |
