Abstract/Contents: | Overviews American Society of Golf Course Architects and how they "encourage a growing intelligence of golf design and development, and create resources to help developers produce environmentally safe projects." States that ASGCA members focus on designing courses that are shorter and less expensive to construct and maintain, as well as designing golf courses with "multiple teeing areas that welcome higher handicap players as well as provide conditions which comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act." Adds that golf courses not only benefit surrounding homes and businesses, but also provides jobs, taxes, and tourism for the community. |
