Abstract/Contents:"The climate change will also have consequences on turfs for whatever they are used. It is however possible to attenuate the negative impact of this climate change through the cultivation of better adapted and resistant gramineae varieties. The goals followed here are basically not new; each of them is only switching a little bit by the side. A higher stress tolerance in form of tolerance against drought, persistency and resistance are now required. This cultivation offers plenty of possibilities to select a gramineae with a higher stress tolerance. It is, however, necessary to use to this purpose the wider genetic diversity of the greens, in order to optimize to a greater extend their morphological and physiological characters. All the existing cultivation methods have to be taken into consideration and completed with new methods of analysis and selection. Official research facilities must foster private breeding because for its groundwork, because it has to scope with varied challenges."
