Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a study on the effect of thatch in regards to insecticide efficacy conducted by Dr. Niemczyk at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster, Ohio. Reports that "tests have shown that 1/2" of thatch will reduce the control of the organophosphate insecticides by as much as 24%." Suggests that the "thatch may be why many superintendents say they are not getting the control they should with their insecticides." |
